ETP STP – There needs to be a high priority given to wastewater treatment. In this process, contaminants are removing from wastewater or sewage, and they are converted into effluent that can be directly used or returned to the water cycle with minimal environmental impact. There are three types of wastewater treatment methods: physical, chemical, and biological.

Effluent Treatment Plant: Effluent Treatment Plants, also known as ETPs, are using to purify water by pharmaceutical and chemical companies. Effluent types releasing into the water are determining by the industry. Some effluents contain oil and grease, some contain toxic material, while food and beverage effluents contain organic contaminants that degrade. Different types of effluents require different treatment technologies, which are knowing as ETPs.

Sewage Treatment Plant: Wastewater and household sewage, including affluent and domestic, are treating to remove contaminants. In addition to flushing the toilet, bathing, cleaning the sink, and other regular activities, water goes down the drain and joins a sewer pipe under the road. It also joins a major pipeline leading to a treatment canter.
The following steps are followed in this wastewater treatment process.
Preliminary Treatment: A physical separation of large contaminations that may damage or block equipment is its objective.
Primary Treatment: A physical and chemical treatment is using to separate organic solid material from wastewater. It gets rid of stuff that floats and settles, like suspended solids and organic materials.
Secondary Treatment: Aeration lanes are using to purify water by pumping air into the tank to assist bacteria to break down sludge that escapes the scraping process.
Disinfection Treatment: During this stage of water treatment, effluent quality is raised to the desired level before it is reusing, recycled, or discharged. Membrane filtration is using to allow clean water to pass through. In addition to these multiple processes, UV treatment is following to disinfect the water. This ensures water quality without producing disinfection by-products.
Difference Between ETP STP Plants
First, sewage is treating in STPs, while effluent is treated in ETP. Human and animal feces and food waste are among the waste materials in sewage. Factory effluent contains chemicals and toxic wastes, which are producing in factories.
As sewage treatment plants mostly deal with organic waste, they have fewer complex mechanisms. Aerobic bacteria break down the waste and solid waste is filtered out.
Effluent treatment plants deal with chemicals and toxic waste. If they aren’t taken care of properly, they will have a negative impact on the environment.
Municipalities use sewage treatment plants to deal with the wastewater produced in residential areas. The treated water is then releasing into the sewage system.
It does not cause clogging or unpleasant odors. Effluent treatment plants are using in industries. Chemicals and toxic waste abound in factories.
To ensure that they can handle wastewater perfectly, both STPs and ETPs must be constructing with proper planning.
